About

Manning Elementary is a welcoming K-6 school of about 150 students in northern Alberta.  MES is at the north end of the Peace River School Division.

Introduction

Manning is about six hours north of Edmonton and three hours north of Grande Prairie.  Check out the Town of Manning website for more information on the town.

Our school is supporting new changes in technology.  All of our classrooms have smartboards and a fully operational computer lab.  MES also has a complete set of COWs (Computers On Wheels).  These wireless laptops allow students to access technology even when the computer lab is booked!  Staff and students enjoy life long learning through technology!

Message from the Principal:

"We cannot hold a torch to light another's path without brightening our own." - Ben Sweetland

Welcome back to another year of learning together, succeeding together at Manning Elementary School!  I am excited to be working with a dedicated school community to build a positive leaning environment where students will achieve to the best of their ability academically, emotionally, physically and socially.

At our school we work to provide students with the opportunities to discover, explore, imagine and learn through doing.  This means that we ask questions, get messy and acknowledge that we all learn in different ways.  We are so fortunate to have such a wide array of supportive arms envelop and support us!  It is with these partnerships between students, families, staff and the broader community that we make Manning Elementary School a great place to be.

Thank you for helping us give our children roots to grow and wings to fly!
